The JOBCOM Paging Base Station is capable of two-way communications with other JOBCOM radios. A paging encoder is built into the Base Station to allow selective paging of specific portable radios and pagers. JOBCOM Portables are capable of talking to other Portables and the Base Station.

The Icom IC-48A is similar to the IC-28A but operates on the 440 MHz band instead of 2 Meters. Power output may be selected at 25 or 5 watts. Operation is from 440-450 MHz. The speaker is built-in. This radio requires 7.5 amps.
